N3 is where kanji stops being a list and starts being a language.

This volume takes the half of N3 that carries the most weight in ordinary sentences: thinking and deciding, feelings, the body, family, movement, work, money, government, conflict, speech, quantity, time and weather — and it gives every character a spread of its own, laid out the same way every time.

Readings you can hear. Every on'yomi and kun'yomi with its own example words, because a reading you cannot hear in a real word is not yet knowledge.
